Grande Prairie Public School Division Announces Nominee for Provincial Award

Trustees with Grande Prairie Public School Division are proud to announce Ailee Estrada as their Edwin Parr Award Nominee for the 2024–2025 school year. The Edwin Parr Award is an annual honour presented by the Alberta School Boards’ Association to recognize outstanding first-year teachers across the province.

Ailee Estrada teaches Grade 5 at Hillside Community School and is known for creating a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired. A graduate of the University of Alberta, Ms. Estrada brings thoughtful planning, engaging lessons, and a commitment to meeting the needs of all learners. Her ability to connect with students, collaborate with colleagues, and build strong relationships with families makes her an invaluable part of the school community. Ms. Estrada teaches with purpose and is truly making a difference every day.
