Speech & Language Screening for Developmentally Delayed Children

Parents and guardians, we are offering free speech and language screenings for children born in 2020 or 2021 who may benefit from early intervention in a supportive GPPSD Program Unit Funded (PUF) Pre-Kindergarten program.

How do you know if your child may need early speech and language intervention?

If you have the following concerns, your child may benefit from our GPPSD PUF Pre-Kindergarten program. If you answer yes to the questions below, your child may benefit from this programming:

  • Is your child talking as much as they should (compared to peers)?
  • Can your child understand your verbal instructions or directions?
  • Can family and friends understand what they are saying?
  • Does your child seem to understand what you are saying to them?

Please refer to our website for more information: https://www.gppsd.ab.ca/programs-of-choice/puf-pre-kindergarten
