Requirements

You must have an Alberta Teaching Certificate or be eligible to apply for a teaching position in our Division. A current Criminal Record Check and Child Welfare Check must be provided as a condition of employment.

Compensation and Benefits Highlights

Group health benefit package 100% paid by the Division, a value in excess of $7,500 per year:

Our Collective Agreement provides the following additional benefits

  • Ninety sick days
  • Five personal days - two with pay, three with pay with cost of sub deducted
  • Six paid family illness days

  • Reimbursement of course tuition fees, up to $5,000 per year
Our Division provides beginning teachers with:

A substitute teacher is paid as follows:
  • $236.08 per day and $118.04 per half day, plus 2% in lieu of benefits
