I.V. Macklin is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school with a student
population of 415 and a staff population of about 40.

Named after I. V. (Irvin Victor) Macklin who has the
distinction of being one of the first school teachers in Grande Prairie
All staff work collaboratively in grade level and subject
teams throughout the year to ensure children are in the best learning
At I.V. Macklin Public School, we have a dedicated and
professional staff who care about students and work hard to develop positive
relationships and a sense of belonging for our children. Success for our
students is defined by their ability to reach their own personal excellence

potential. We focus on providing authentic learning experiences that serve to

With many opportunities to participate in social justice, citizenship and
leadership activities, our students grow as positive, contributing members of
our school and the global community, and are encouraged to be a positive voice
for growth and change.
