Welcome to our school and the Grande Prairie Public School Division!  Register your child for Kindergarten, Grade 1 - 8 or one of our Programs of Choice.  

The buttons below will take you to the Online Registration for your children.

Sign in to PowerSchool

Register Students of Current GPPSD Families - to register a new member of your family go to the PowerSchool Parent Portal, 
Login and access SchoolEngage on the left-hand menu.
Click on Students, Add the New Student and complete the 2023-2024 New Student Registration form.
Applications for Programs of Choice for current GPPSD students can also be found in your SchoolEngage Student menu.

Important Information

  • Kindergarten to Grade 12 students who are currently enrolled in one of our Grande Prairie Public Schools DO NOT need to complete a New Student Registration form for next school year. 
    • Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students moving to Kindergarten next year will be assigned a 2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration form on February 27, 2023, through SchoolEngage within your existing PowerSchool parent account. Parents will be notified by email; please watch for it and check the spam folder within your email if you cannot find it
    • Kindergarten to Grade 7 students will be assigned the Are You Returning form in May of 2023 through SchoolEngage within your existing PowerSchool parent account. Parents will be notified by email with the exception of Parkside Montessori and Grande Prairie Christian School as they have their own process form. Parents, please check the spam folder within your email if you cannot find it.
    • Grades 8 to 12 students will be contacted directly by their High School to register for 2023-2024 courses through PowerSchool
  • If you have moved residences this year to another neighbourhood school boundary you can confirm this information with your current school in May 2023 when the Are You Returning forms are available to review the information and initiate a transfer to your new neighbourhood boundary school.
  • The First Day of School for most students in the 2023-2024 School Year is Sep. 5, 2023. For students in Kindergarten, our school will communicate your child's start date if it is not Sep. 5.   • Busing Application: each year, you must complete an application for your child to ride the school bus. Learn more: Busing - Grande Prairie Public School Division (gppsd.ab.ca)

Registering for Kindergarten

We are proud to offer online registration for Kindergarten:

  • Open to children born in 2018
  • Feb. 23, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. - online registration opens for account creation and form pre-population
  • Mar. 2, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. - online registration forms that were pre-populated or new forms can be submitted

Important: to complete your online registration, pre-populated 2023-2024 New Student Registration forms must be submitted.

Sign in to PowerSchoolCurrent Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students in GPPSD – parents will receive an email after Feb. 27, 2023, with instructions to complete their 2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration Form.
Log into your PowerSchool ParentPortal and access SchoolEngage on the left-hand menu.,
Click on Student, select your student and then complete the 2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration Form.
The form must be submitted starting or after Mar. 2, 2023, at 8:30 a.m.


Registering for KinderPAL?

KinderPAL - Program of Choice for Kindergarten-aged students combines Kindergarten Programming and the KinderPAL experience: play and learn! It offers young students a full-day, everyday learning experience. Find out more: KinderPAL - Grande Prairie Public School Division (gppsd.ab.ca)

New Students to Kindergarten can register for KinderPAL by completing your child's 2023-2024 New Student Registration Form online, and click the "I am interested in the fee based KinderPAL program for my child" box on page 2 of the registration form.

Current GPPSD Preschool or Pre-Kindergarten students can register for KinderPAL by completing your child's 2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration Form online, (emailed to you Februrary 27, 2023)
Log into your PowerSchool ParentPortal and access SchoolEngage on the left-hand menu
Click on Student, select the student and complete the 2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration Form, within the form click the box "I am want to apply for my child to attend the fee based KinderPAL program" box on page 2 of the registration form. Complete and submit the form.


Registering for The Academy Grades 4-8 Students

New Families to GPPSD students interested in registering for Academy Programming. Indicate on your child's New Student Registration Form that they want to Register for the Academy, once this form is submitted an Academy Application will need to be completed, you will get an email notice to complete.


Sign in to PowerSchoolCurrent GPPSD Students can apply to attend Academy programming by:
Log into your PowerSchool ParentPortal and access SchoolEngage on the left-hand menu., 
Click on Student, choose the student and then complete the Academy Application 
The school will review applications and contact families to confirm registration. Application forms will open to submit Mar. 2, 2023.

Current students in The Academy will receive an Academy Re-enrollment Form, to complete if the student is continuing in the program.

New Families to GPPSD students interested in registering for Academy Programming

Indicate on your child's New Student Registration Form that they want to Register for the Academy, once this form is submitted an Academy Application will need to be completed, you will get an email notice to complete.

School Fees

NOTE:  No Basic Instruction fees will be charged to parents.

Some schools may charge fees for some optional courses, field trips, or other goods and services. Please refer to Board Policy 16 which outlines all fees that schools may charge. For additional Information, please contact the school directly.

School Supplies 2022-2023

Your teachers at Isabel Campbell School are excited to offer you the opportunity to purchase your school supplies through School Start for the 2022/23 school year.  This process will save you both time and money.  There are a few simple steps to ensure your child will receive standardized brand name products (specified by each teacher).  If you would rather purchase through a local store, you are free to do that as well.
