5th Annual GPPSD Christmas Card Contest Comes to Life!

It is the time of year when the Board of Trustees are looking for young artists who want to help create their Christmas card!

GPPSD students in grades 4-6 are invited to create a card that represents this year's theme. Giving them the chance to win cash prizes, just in time for the holidays.

Christmas Card Art Contest

Theme: Christmas is a time to celebrate belonging

Contest Rules:

  • Must be a student in Grades 4-6 at a Grande Prairie Public School Division.
  • Artwork must fill a full piece of 8.5"x 11" plain white paper and Include your first and last name, Grade, teacher's name, and school name on the back of the artwork.
  • Do not include a title
  • One entry per student
  • Submit a single sheet (unfolded) for the contest.
  • Keep the main subject and any important elements at least 0.5" away from the edge of the paper

Contest Deadline:

  • Thursday, November 3, 2022.
  • Card submissions are made to the student's classroom teacher no later than end of the school day on Nov. 3rd.

Prizes:

  • First Place: $100.00 and artwork featured on the Christmas card
  • Second Place: $75.00
  • Third Place: $50.00

The Christmas card will be created using only the first-place artwork. All winners will be presented with their awards and interviewed by the Division to explain the meaning behind their artwork - videos will be posted to Division's social media channels.
