Speech Language Pathology Services

Peace Collaborative Services Speech Language Pathologists work as part of a team of professionals to help support students in the school setting.  Our roles include:

  • assessment of student's communication and social skills,
  • collaboration with teachers to design activities that target speech, language and literacy goals in the classroom,
  • consultation regarding a specific student's needs and programming,
  • working with SLP Assistants and Educational Assistants to provide direct intervention for communication goals when needed.

PCS SLP's also work with school administrators and teachers to help prevent communication and literacy difficulties through design and use of screening tools, designing lessons and classroom activities, and specific program implementation (e.g. social skills programs in the classroom).

Students can be referred to the PCS Speech Language Pathologist upon request of the parents or teacher.
