Programs at Swanavon

Presently we are offering two classes of grade one to four.  We have one each of grade five and six and one combined grade 5/6 class.  In addition, we provide two half-day Kindergarten program five days per week.  Swanavon also houses two School District Programs.  The Preschool program and the Severe Behavior Emotional Adjustment Difficulties Program (SBEAD).  The SBEAD Program is formulated to work with those students whose behaviors have interfered with their successful learning.  This class at Swanavon is designed to work with School District students from grades one to six.  Additionally, our school provides support for students with learning disabilities and other special learning needs.  The emphasis in this program will be to work with the primary students to assist them in correcting or compensating for any disabilities before unproductive learning patterns are deeply ingrained.  Students will receive service based upon a priority of needs basis.

This is a general overview of the organization within the school.  It may change somewhat as enrollments are determined in the first few days and modifications may be required as circumstances warrant.

Swanavon School offers diversity in programming in to meet the needs of our varied clientele.  This arrangement reflects the philosophy of Swanavon and the School District. Each child is important and whatever the child’s needs, be it educational, social or emotional, a sincere attempt will be made to meet and satisfy those needs.
