 ELEMENTARY MONTESSORI

The Elementary Montessori program is available for elementary students.  The program in 2011-2012 will extend to include children ages six to eight (grades one and two) with plans to expand in 2012-13.  The experience at this level extends the hands-on, individualized process of exploration and discovery. As the students adapt to the Montessori environment, their experiences as they get older, become more abstract.  Alberta Education curriculum is integrated into the Montessori curriculum at this level.

Montessori is an approach to education based on the fundamental belief that a student learns best within a   social environment that supports and respects each child's unique development.
