Much like the success achieved by students in the music program, GPPSD sports teams and individual athletes have been recognized as being some of the best in both the province and the country. In addition to their athletic success, students in the District have also been honoured for displaying outstanding sportsmanship.

While all students participate in Daily Physical Activity as outlined by Alberta Education, the opportunity to participate in team sports and individual pursuits is readily available.
