Our Projects

Each year since 2000, the Foundation has hosted the Striving for Excellence awards dinner to recognize outstanding achievement and citizenship among the District's Grade 4-12 students.

As of February 2008, the Foundation has successfully hosted three major fundraising gala and silent auction events featuring CBC's Ron MacLean in 2005, former NHL goaltender Kelly Hrudey in 2006 and CFL star Michael "Pinball" Clemons in 2008.

The GPPSD Education Foundation receives outstanding support from many local businesses and individuals. Through those donations and fundraisers, the Foundation has been able to contribute to such city-wide initiatives as D.A.R.E., Saturday Tutorial, anti-bullying programs, the Forestry Education Project and the Grande Prairie Schools Nutrition Program.
